St. Louis-based Ronnoco Coffee is making brewing news with its acquisition of Henderson Coffee Corporation located in Muskogee, Okla. The sale of Henderson, a manufacturer and distributer of coffee, tea and related products and equipment, was finalized Nov. 4.
“Henderson Coffee has a long, rich tradition of providing quality products and service to customers and coffee lovers throughout Oklahoma,” said Ronnoco CEO Scott Meader in a press release. “We are excited about working with the exceptional talent at Henderson who have helped to make the company so successful.” Ronnoco purchased Henderson Coffee from Mark Plaster and Mark Truitt. Both Plaster and Truitt have agreed to stay on with Ronnoco. Henderson Coffee currently employs about 40 people throughout Oklahoma, and the coffee brand will continue to be sold.
Ronnoco acquired another distributor of coffee and related products, International Blends, earlier this year. “Acquisitions like the ones we’ve made so far this year will help enable Ronnoco to achieve its long-term plans to grow our business through geographic expansion, new product offerings and complementary strategic acquisitions,” Meader said.
Ronnoco Coffee roasts, blends, grinds, packages and distributes premium-quality coffee and teas under four primary brands: Ronnoco, Seattle Roast, Wild Horse Creek and Camellia. The company provides a variety of other beverages, such as cappuccino, hot chocolate, smoothies and coffee-related products, such as flavoring syrups and condiments.
