StreetLifeWelcome another addition to St. Louis’ ever-expanding food truck scene, Street Life, set to debut next week. Owner David Williams told The Scoop that Street Life will offer a handful of made-to-order Sunday supper-type fare – rib-eye steaks, fried chicken, deep-fried shrimp, tilapia, catfish, spaghetti and coleslaw – as well as quick lunch grabs like burgers (for this food truck, it’ll be Angus chuck and turkey burgers), tuna salad sandwiches and chicken salad sandwiches. There will even be a few internationally inspired items including Polish sausage and shrimp and pork egg rolls with dipping sauce.

Williams, a former member of the U.S. military forces, stated that while heretofore he has not been cooking professionally, he’s always had an affinity for the kitchen, receiving high praise from those at the table. “Everyone who eats my food tells me I should open a restaurant,” said Williams, who noted that his food truck business, formally known as Street Life Mobile Food Services, has been in the works for more than a year.

But don’t look for Street Life to be parking next to other food trucks in downtown St. Louis just yet. The truck has undergone St. Louis county’s licensing and heath inspection process, so hungry diners can look for Williams’ aqua marine-colored truck parked in Florissant outside Toast Time Bar at 12781 New Halls Ferry Road. Williams expects to roll through the city streets as well once he completes St. Louis city’s licensing and health inspection process. You can follow the whereabouts of the truck on Facebook, and a Street Life Twitter account and website, streetlifemobilefoodservice.com, should be up and running soon.
