Mike’s Pizza has been open for a few weeks at 128 Triad Center West on Mexico Road in O’Fallon, Mo., where the kitchen has been dishing out hand-tossed New York-style pizza as well as a deep-dish Chicago-style pie with a cornmeal crust.
Owner Michael Redding told The Scoop that among the specialty pizzas winning over diners at the 90-seat, full-service restaurant is The Kitchen Sink: a medley of sausage, pepperoni, bacon, Canadian bacon, black olives, fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and green peppers. The restaurant offers a total of eight specialty pizzas as well as the option to custom-build your own – whether as a 10-, 12-, 14- or 16-inch size. For hungry gangs, Mike’s even offers a 28-inch pie that affords 55 slices.
Redding and his crew make all the sauces in-house, as well as the pizza dough and the bread used for hot sandwiches. Among the latter, try the Italian beef sandwich, which features beef that’s marinated for two days, then slow-roasted and carved-to-order, and served with house-made au jus for dipping. Redding also gives high marks to the house-made meatballs that marry with marinara and melted cheese in the meatball sandwich. Check out the complete menu here.
Mike’s Pizza serves lunch and dinner seven days a week, staying open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Carry-out and delivery are also available.
