1. DD Mau Vietnamese Eatery in Maryland Heights is celebrating its one-year anniversary with an expanded menu and select BOGO items through the end of the month. Specialty items like sweet potato fritters, a Vietnamese pork chop and a corn pudding dessert grace the menu; visit Thursday for a BOGO deal on vermicelli bowls.
2. There’s nothing better than old-time bars with lots of character, and Riley’s Pub in South City has everything you want in a neighborhood tavern – namely, cheap pizza. Every Monday, stop in from 5 to 10 p.m. and get a large, St. Louis-style pizza for only $5. Thirsty? You’ve got change left over for some great drink specials, like select, ice-cold drafts for $3.
3. Not only has Juniper reimagined its menu, but it’s also revamped the happy hour to include budget-friendly drinks and bites for the after work and dinner crowd. Pregame your entree Monday through Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m., and nosh on small bar bites for $5 or less. Load up on $1 deviled eggs, $2 oysters or fill up faster with two house-made Andouille sausage corndogs for $5.
4. All hail Layla’s newest offering in Webster Groves, but don’t forget about the one that started it all. Where else can you get quality hummus, shawarma and mouth-watering burgers in The Grove? Check out Layla’s killer weekday happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. Try a Royale burger with cheese for $5 and side of Layla’s addictive fries for $4. If you’re looking for quick bites, try the traditional hummus, made in-house and served with grilled pita for only $3.
