Calling all hard cider imbibers! Tonight, two limited-release kegs of Crispin Cider are getting tapped at The Stable in Benton Park. The first keg will feature Joan of Arc: a wine-esque, unfiltered version of Crispin Original Apple cider that’s been aged for more than six months in Sauvignon Blanc oak wine barrels. The other will carry Maid of Orleans, made with unfiltered pear cider from the company’s Fox Barrel line and also aged in Sauvignon Blanc barrels. According to Crispin’s Derek Bean, the oak and citrus notes of the Sauvignon Blanc are great complements to the ciders. Drinkers who want a quadruple dose of cider can also compare the two aged products with the original versions in a $10 flight of four. The tapping party gets underway at The Stable at 1821 Cherokee St., tonight at 5 p.m.
