Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Fry the bacon until crisp. Drain and crumble. Set aside.
Prepare the brownie batter according to the package directions up to the point of mixing the batter. Do not bake. Set the bowl aside.
Pour œ of the batter into a 13-by-19-inch pan.
In a medium bowl, combine the caramel sauce, salt and crumbled bacon.
Heat the mixture in the microwave for about 15 to 20 seconds or until it is loose enough to be poured atop the batter.
Pour onto the batter in an even layer, smoothing with a spatula if necessary.
Cover with the remaining œ of the brownie batter.
Bake for 30 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting.
1 package brownie batter
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 Tbsp. bourbon
¾ cup caramel sauce (Click here to make your own.) ½ tsp. salt
