The key to a great cocktail is proper preparation. Too much of one element will throw off the balance, so take your time and measure the ingredients; free pouring is not going to please your taste buds here.
INGREDIENTS
2 oz. Rittenhouse Rye
1 oz. sweet vermouth
2 dashes of Angostura bitters
1 maraschino cherry
PREPARATION
• Combine all ingredients except the cherry in a mixing glass with ice. Stir 30 times.
• Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry.
