Fill a copper mule mug or Old-Fashioned glass with ice. Add the mezcal and lime juice. Top with ginger beer. Give it a quick stir to incorporate the ingredients. Use the squeezed lime shell as a garnish.

2 to 3 oz. quality ginger beer, such as Fever Tree
