Webster Groves, MO – Big Bend Boulevard is about to look a lot like fall. This Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, the Merchant & Business Association of Old Orchard (MBAOO) brings back its Fall Festival, with the party running 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.

The festival takes over Big Bend from Dale Avenue to Summit Avenue. New this year, Log Cabin Lane between Big Bend and East Frisco Avenue closes to traffic and becomes a festival hub with music, shopping and fall activities for all ages. It’s the kind of weekend neighbors plan around, and the whole family fits.

Two stages, fourteen bands

For the first time, the festival has two live music stages. Acts over the two days include Jake’s Leg, Voodoo Funky Butt Brass Band, The Brothers Lazaroff, Moon Valley, Samba Bom and the Webster Groves High School Band. The full schedule is posted at OldOrchardWebsterGroves.com.

A bigger marketplace

More than 55 vendors and regional artisans fill the marketplace with handmade goods and one-of-a-kind fall finds. Confirmed vendors include Crispy Sips, Glow Candle Co., Steele Caramels and Everyone’s Republic.

Food on every corner

Come hungry. Old Orchard’s own restaurants are open for the weekend, and food trucks, including Lomito Bonito and FarmTruck, park throughout the marketplace.

For the kids (and the kids at heart)

The Cowboy Critters petting zoo is back, so kids and adults can meet goats, pigs, donkeys, horses, ducks and rabbits up close. Keep an eye out around the neighborhood for the “Find the Ghost” Bingo Contest. Turn in a completed card by 3 p.m. on Saturday for a chance to win a gift basket. On Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m., Old Orchard businesses welcome trick-or-treaters.

More to explore

The marketplace is only part of it. Shops and restaurants across the district are running their own specials, activities and live music all weekend. For updates, follow @oldorchardwg on Instagram or Old Orchard-Webster Groves on Facebook, or visit OldOrchardWebsterGroves.com.
