First Look: Nudo House on The Loop

The second location of Nudo House is now open for business at 6105 Delmar Blvd., offering denizens of The Loop easy access to its menu of pho, ramen and sandwiches. Chefs and co-owners Qui Tran and Marie-Anne Velasco announced the second location of their popular noodle shop back in July 2018, but a series of delays pushed the opening back several months.

Tran said he had originally declared Friday, Sept. 20 to be the debut but decided to open the doors a day early since “we were already here working anyway.”

He said the menu is basically the same as the original Nudo in Creve Coeur: a selection of ramen, pho, sandwiches and starters like spring rolls and noodle salads. Nudo’s famous house soft serve with unique rotating flavors like matcha and purple yam will be available, too, as well as a couple boozy slushies.

The new digs feature roughly 60 seats and a bright, frenetic interior designed by Tran’s sister, Sarah Tran, featuring Nudo’s familiar colors of red, black and white, along with custom light fixtures and anime wallpaper.

Hours for the new spot are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. and Sunday. Chef Chris Ladley, who’s been with Nudo since its inception and will helm the Loop location, said that the weekend hours will expand in the coming weeks to take advantage of the area’s vibrant nightlife.
