A second Nudo House will open in The Loop

Nudo House is in the midst of celebrating its first year in business in Creve Coeur, and soon fans will have another location of the popular eatery where they can get their Nudo fix. Chef and co-owner Qui Tran has announced he and co-owner Marie-Anne Velasco will open the second Nudo House location at 6105 Delmar Blvd., on the ground floor of the new Everly On The Loop luxury high rise development in spring 2019.

“Everything will be the same [menu-wise],” Tran said. I’ll probably run a few more specials, and right now we’re thinking about adding a slushie machine and making Asian-style alcoholic slushies.” He said the new location will probably have later hours as well to cater to the student population and concert-goers in the neighborhood.

The 2,500-square-foot space will have approximately 65 to 70 seats and an additional 20 to 30 seats outside. Tran said much of the seating will be community tables.

“I want to build that culture where people are sitting together and talking and getting to know each other,” Tran said. “It’s so diverse down there I think it makes sense.”

Tran said he expects construction to begin in October and doors should be open in the spring. “My feel is that we should get in there in March or April of next year,” Tran said.

Tran said there aren’t any plans for any additional Nudo locations, but “getting this second one up will help us work out the kinks if we decide to do No. 3 or 4.” He said he’s also looking forward to be a part of the burgeoning food scene in The Loop. “That’s the thing about The Loop,” he said. “Maybe someone wants to get a Seoul Taco, then have a bowl of ramen or a bahn mi, then head over to Guerrilla Street Food.”
