Pierre Ferrand dry curaçao is our favorite orange liqueur. While most offer only straight orange flavor, Pierre Ferrand’s emulates an older style, incorporating an herb and spice blend that lends complexity, depth and richness to its lush orange flavor. Not too cloying, it’s made with barrel-aged toasted sugar to ensure that even its sweetness is rich and complex. Try it in a classic Sidecar: In an ice-filled shaker, combine 2 ounces cognac, 1 ounce Pierre Ferrand dry curaçao and ¾ ounce lemon juice. Shake vigorously, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. $31. Available at The Wine Merchant
