La Catrina Mexican Restaurant, South City’s latest Mexican eatery, opened for business on Monday, July 22, at 5220 Hampton Ave., as reported by St. Louis Magazine.

La Catrina’s expansive menu includes favorites like burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas and fajitas plus larger chicken and steak entrees.

“The menu is mostly traditional Tex-Mex,” said general manager Christina Robles. “But we do authentic Mexican street tacos, as well.”

The restaurant also offers a full bar specializing in custom margaritas, along with offers dine-in and carryout options and patio seating. Robles said the plan is to focus on to-go service once the restaurant is up and running.

La Catrina is open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (with the bar open until 10:30 p.m.) Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
