Heat a saute pan over medium-low heat. Add the walnuts and lightly toast them, stirring often, for about 5 minutes.
Add the brown sugar and cayenne pepper, and stir to incorporate.
Add a splash of water and season with salt to taste. Raise the heat to medium and cook until the water is evaporated.
Serve hot or at room temperature.
