Farmhaus' Sweet and Spicy Rub
Orange zest complements the citrus notes in Schlafly's Summer Lagar, while a soy marinade infuses a salty sweetness and hot paprika creates a fiery finish. This sweet and spicy combination would pair perfectly with any wheat beer as well.
Ingredients
Soy sauce
2 Tbsp. black pepper
Zest of 1 orange
1 Tbsp. hot smoked paprika
1 Tbsp. ground ginger
1 Tbsp. ground mustard seed
Preparation
• Marinate the chicken in soy sauce for at least
2 hours, ideally for 6 hours, turning each hour.
• Combine the remaining ingredients.
• Pat the chicken dry and apply the dry rub
generously on the outside of the bird.
• Proceed with the basic recipe.
