Embrace the winter season and get out of the house as you try something new or enjoy a favorite dish during the 11th annual winter Clayton Restaurant Week Jan. 13 to 19.

Choose from 21 restaurants, including The Capital Grille, Barcelona Tapas Restaurant, C.J. Mugg's, Cantina Laredo, Herbie’s, Il Palato, Ruth’s Chris Steak House and more, offering special three-course menus ranging from $25 to $35 per person, with 5 Star Burgers offering a two-for-$25 deal.

Olivia Blissett, events coordinator for Synergy Productions, the company organizing the event, said the week of deals allows restaurants to get some much-needed attention during the slower winter months.

“Most restaurants participate because it brings in a lot of diners,” Blissett said. “It brings in more people that week. Especially in January when it’s a little slower, people aren’t spending money because they just spent a ton on Christmas. But we typically get a lot more participation in the winter than the summer. ... It kind of jump starts people getting out again.”

Along with giving to the businesses, guests are encouraged to “add an extra helping” to their check with a $5 or larger donation to Operation Food Search, which provides food and nutrition education to those who are hungry in our community.

While walk-ins are welcome to the restaurants during the week, reservations are highly recommended and can be made by phone or online.
