Schnucks in Kirkwood will open a food hall featuring 3 St. Louis restaurants this summer

The Schnucks Kirkwood location at 10233 Manchester Road was due for an update, and with it comes exciting new features. The renovation will include a new food hall with local restaurant vendors The Shaved Duck, Seoul Taco and The Greek Kitchen, as reported by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. They will each be operating their own kiosk with a shared seating area.

The remodel is taking place at the second store in the Kirkwood area, which has been operating since 1987. Schnucks spokesperson Paul Simon explains that this has been one of their enduring locations as “the community has been great to Schnucks.”

The store remains open during construction, and Schnucks Kirkwood manager Heidi Johnson asks that customers “pardon [their] dust” while they build this “exciting shopping experience.”

Other additions include a nut butter self-service machine, kombucha on tap, a new natural living department, expanded grab-and-go options. Arch Apparel will also be selling their St. Louis-inspired street wear.

The renovation started in March, and the plan is to have these upgrades done by midsummer. Simon believes that if the food hall and other additions are successful at Kirkwood, it is “certainly something [he] could see expanding to other locations.”
