Southtown Pub closes doors on Kingshighway Boulevard

A South City favorite has packed up shop. Southtown Pub at 3707 S. Kingshighway Blvd., has closed, as reported by St. Louis Magazine.

Owners Paul and Sam Perrigue made the official announcement Monday, Aug. 5 via Facebook, citing too much debt after trying to expand the business.

“We fought the good fight for as long as we could hoping for a different outcome. Unfortunately, we got ourselves in too deep to come back,” the post read.

Sauce reviewed Southtown Pub in 2014, with critic Matt Berkley calling out the restaurant’s chicken wings as a standout. Those wings also got an honorable mention nod in the Favorite Chicken Wings category in this year’s Sauce Readers' Choice Poll

Meanwhile, an online public auction of the building’s contents, including kitchen equipment, is scheduled for 8 p.m. tomorrow, Aug. 7.

The Perrigues did not return requests for comment.
