One of the most anticipated foodie events of the season, Taste of St. Louis, is back at Ballpark Village at 601 Clark Ave. in downtown St. Louis from Friday, Aug. 11, to Sunday, Aug. 13.

“It's really a celebration of the breadth and depth of St. Louis's food community and food scene and a great accessible event in downtown St. Louis for everyone to come to,” said event producer Colin O’Brien.

O’Brien expects a large turnout for this year’s Taste with its most extensive selection of restaurants yet. In past years, the event has brought in upward of 50,000 visitors to downtown.

The three-day food festival will go from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13. For the first time, the event will be in August instead of September.

“We've moved into August to try to capture a little more of the summer vacation vibe by having fewer festivals and things happening on the same weekend,” said O’Brien.

The restaurant list includes returning local favorites like Gus’s Fried Chicken, Salt + Smoke and Meskerem Ethiopian Restaurant as well as newer offerings like Namaste Restaurant & Bar and Café de LàSha. Other restaurant attendees include Chez Ali, Kimchi Guys, Nothing Bundt Cakes and many more. Vendors will offer full entrees as well as smaller plates for visitors who want to try multiple restaurants.

The culinary stage cooking demos are curated by BradenSTL and cannabis-focused cooking demos are by Good Taste. There will also be live music by My Friend Mike, Z Major, and Haulin' Oats. Live DJs include Franco, Paige and Luna Riot.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the website.
