Celebrate Mother’s Day at these restaurants and event spaces around St. Louis

With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, it’s the perfect time to lift the load off your mom’s shoulders and show just how much you appreciate her. What better way to show love than with delicious food? St. Louis has myriad Mother’s Day offerings and, while many have sold out, there are still plenty of available options listed below. 

DINE-IN

Boathouse at Forest Park
Enjoy an all-day brunch buffet at mom’s convenience from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Offerings include vanilla-sugared waffles, fried boneless chicken wings, breakfast potatoes, bacon and sausage, along with plant-based sausage, sweet potato and spinach quiche, green bean and portobello casserole and desserts like cake, cookies, croissants and more. Eckert’s Farm
Eckert’s is hosting a Mom’s Day Out event on Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guests can enjoy Eckert’s hard cider and bites throughout while shopping from local vendors and listening to live music by Vince Martin from 1 to 4 p.m. The farm’s Country Restaurant will also have special offerings on Mother’s Day. Guests can order from a special Mother’s Day breakfast and lunch menu featuring dishes like strawberry cookie toast, a biscuit and gravy flight, chicken ‘n’ dumplings and more. Lion’s Choice
Lion’s Choice, the St. Louis-based restaurant known for its roast beef sandwiches, is offering a special Mother’s Day treat only on Sunday, May 12. All frozen custard, available in any size, will be made pink for one day only. This will give moms a fun treat to celebrate a day that is all about them.

Mama 2’s Biscuits
This South City spot is offering a brunch buffet from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday with the last seating at 2 p.m. Offerings include a build-your-own omelet station, glazed ham, roasted pork tenderloin, scrambled eggs, French toast sticks, bloody mary deviled eggs, along with plenty of appetizers, desserts and more. This Cottleville hotspot is hosting a four-course Mother’s Day Eve brunch prepared by Adeline's Kitchen from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 11. Courses include avocado toast, biscuit with sausage gravy, quiche, spring salad, shrimp and grits, stuffed raspberry cream cheese French toast and more. Schlafly Beer 
The St. Louis-based brewery will celebrate all moms with a complimentary gift and personal-sized dessert for all who dine in at any of the four brewpub locations only on Mother’s Day. The gift will include lotion and a flower. All four brewpubs will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., including Schlafly Tap Room in downtown St. Louis, Schlafly Bottleworks in Maplewood, Schlafly Bankside in St. Charles and Schlafly Highland Square in Highland, Illinois.

Side Project Brewing, which has three locations in Maplewood, is celebrating moms with a complimentary beverage on Mother’s Day. The promotion is limited to one beverage (wine or beer) per mom at any of the Side Project locations. Families can grab a pint and a slice at the Side Project Patio and Pizza Champ, enjoy a charcuterie board at the Side Project Cellar or try the new food menu at the Side Project Brewery.

St. Louis Aquarium
The St. Louis Aquarium is hosting a Mother’s Day brunch starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 12. However, this is no ordinary meal; your ticket also includes access to the St. Louis Aquarium, where everyone in the family can get a hands-on experience with the animals. The brunch menu includes French toast domes, breakfast tarts, bacon, sausage, yogurt parfaits, an omelet station, a fruit display, eggs Benedict and potato croquettes. A bouquet bar will be available where kids can create and purchase flower arrangements for their mothers on their special day. Tickets are required and can be purchased here. After brunch at the aquarium, or as a stand-alone activity, families can take mom for a free ride on the 200-foot-tall St. Louis Wheel at Union Station.
